18F-Fluorodeoksiglukoz positron emisyon tomografi/bilgisayarlı tomografi’de kahverengi yağ dokusu aktivitesi ve kanser durumunun korelasyonu

Aim: In this study, we aimed to compare brown adipose tissue (BAT) activity on 18F-Flourodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/Computed Tomography(CT) in patients with and without active cancer. 
 Material Methods: Results of the who underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT between January 2014 February 2018 Nuclear Medicine Department were evaluated retrospectively. Age, gender, body mass index (BMI), serum levels glucose, bilirubin, total cholesterol (T-chol), low-density lipoprotein (LDL) triglyceride (TG) noted from hospital database. Mean outdoor temperature day during imaging was searched National Weather Service archives. Diagnosis disease status Standardized uptake value (SUV) volume (BAV) calculated images. Additionally, hepatic attenuation subcutaneous thickness (SCATT) CT Difference median SUV BAV among groups cancer analyzed. Results: Totally 78 (54 F; 24 M; mean age 34.415.6) for different oncological indications included analysis. All had degrees BAT Median (min-max) values SUV, SCATT found as 8.0 (2.7-37.0), 26.9 (2.1- 116.0) cm3 15.0 (3.0- 46.0) mm, respectively. Hepatic 0-5%, 6-30% >30% 56 (71%), 20 (26%) 2 (3%) patients, Active observed 26 (33%) imaging. evaluation distribution parameters, (p=0.008) statistically significant. Conclusion: seems be higher than that disease, supporting possible role activation development progression.
